Ethernet over Coax, also called MoCA, uses existing coax TV wiring to transmit Ethernet data. This creates the reliable wired network backbone. To do this, you need MoCA adapters and/or a MoCA enable router.
How these adapters work is by forming a point-to-point network backbone from your home coaxial wiring and coax outlets to your end devices. This creates an extremely strong, reliable, and fast wired Internet connection. The MoCA adapter converts your coax wiring into an Ethernet-like connection, delivering speeds up to 1 Gbps to your end devices.
