DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem
EN2251-RES
Multi-Gigabit Speeds with DOCSIS 3.1
DOCSIS 3.1 takes Internet speeds to a new level, increasing the capacity of HFC networks by more than 50 percent and reducing latency. DOCSIS 3.1 supports download speeds up to 10 times faster than DOCSIS 3.0, so you can offer premium tier multi-Gigabit service plans using your existing HFC infrastructure. And your customers will be able to connect more devices, enjoy richer digital experiences and get the fastest Internet speeds available for all their needs.
Supports DOCSIS 3.0 Networks too!
Installation of the EN2251-RES is quick, straight-forward, and can be carried out by the end-user. Once connected, the built-in TFTP client automatically gets the IP address and configuration data from the network server without human intervention. A browser-based utility allows convenient viewing of key network statistics and SNMP support provides total remote control over the device.
2.5 Gigabit Port
Equipped with a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, the powerful EN2251-RES can support service plans over 1 Gbps.
Integrated Telephony Support with Optional Backup Battery
The EN2251-RES can meet your subscriber’s voice needs too. With two integrated HD telephony ports, it’s an ideal choice for home office applications. An optional backup battery provides uninterruptable service during a commercial power outage.
Easy to Setup and Manage
Installation is a snap for your end users. The built-in TFTP client automatically gets the IP address and configuration data from the network server. That means a few simple connections is all it takes to get up and running. And SNMP support provides total remote control over the device for fast and effective troubleshooting.
