If you are experiencing performance/throughput issues with the connection to your HTEM5 Coax to Ethernet Adapter, you should check the following:
- Run a speed test of your incoming broadband service to ensure that the broadband service is healthy.
- If you used your own Ethernet cable, check that it is Cat5E/Cat6 compliant.
- Check to confirm that your connected Ethernet device has a Gigabit Ethernet port (at least 1000 Mbps) and not Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps).
- Check for faulty/outdated/incompatible coax splitters and connections within your MoCA network that may be restricting speeds.
- Check that other devices connected to your MoCA network are not hogging available bandwidth.
