A Super Easy Test to Check if Your Coax Outlets Work

If you are unsure if your coax outlets work, there is a quick and easy tool that you can use to test your coax outlet and/or cables for an Internet signal.

The Hitron DSS-01 Coax Cable Tester can quickly and effectively test your coax outlets, letting you know if you have an Internet signal to connect to. The DSS-01 requires no prior experience when using, as it is designed for all users – from amateurs to professionals. And, because of the DSS-01’s compact design, it is perfect for fitting in those hard-to-reach places, making your job even easier.

To test your coax outlet, simply take your DSS-01 Coax Cable Tester and press the push-button start. In almost no time (just 10 seconds or less!), you will know if your coax outlet is receiving a signal from your Cable Internet provider. When the light blinks red, no signal was detected. But if the light on the DSS-01 turns green, an Internet signal was detected from your Cable broadband provider and your coax outlet is ready to use.

Once you determine that your coax outlets work, you can continue troubleshooting or setting up your new cable modem and router. In fact, you can even use your coax for a better WiFi and internet connection.
