How to Improve Your WiFi Even if You Don’t Know Much About It

Not knowing anything about WiFi doesn’t mean all hope is lost when it comes to improving your connection. Here are a few ways that you can improve your WiFi:

1) Use a MoCA adapter

Using a MoCA adapter like the MoCA 2.5 Coax to Ethernet Adapter can improve your WiFi speeds and streaming capabilities. MoCA adapters convert your existing coax outlets and wiring into an Ethernet connection.  They are easy to set up and use – simply plug them in.  Read more about how MoCA Adapters work here.

2) Move your router

Placing your WiFi router in a central location in your home will ensure your modem, devices and WiFi access points are able to stay connected with a signal. Many objects can become obstacles for your WiFi signal if it’s not placed in a central location, creating interference and impeding your WiFi performance.

3) Avoid signal interferences

In addition to placing your router in a central location, you should also try to avoid signal interference. Interferences include large, metal objects (like a fridge or microwave), concrete and brick walls, Bluetooth devices, in-floor heating and other items that run on radio frequency. By avoiding signal interferences, you will have less dropped calls and connectivity issues.

Nothing is more frustrating than WiFi deadspots, connection issues and slow speeds.  Especially with working from home these days, reliable WiFi and fast speeds is what you need.  If you have coax wiring in your home, a MoCA Adapter can convert or transform your coax wiring throughout your home into a fast, reliable wired Ethernet connection that you can plug your WiFi router into.  Where ever you have a coax outlet, you can access faster speeds and a more reliable connection for your Internet and WiFi.
