Future-Ready Wi-Fi

Fast, future-ready Wi-Fi, available to deploy in your customers’ homes today.

802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 isn’t just better Wi-Fi. It revolutionizes Wi-Fi. You get blazing fast speeds (up to 9.6 Gbps), better efficiency, four times more capacity for more devices, a better battery life for devices, increased security to protect the home network, and more. The result is rock solid, ultra-fast coverage for every device in the home, the ability to enjoy 8K streaming and VR applications, and future-proofing to support tomorrow’s networking needs.

Blazing Fast Speeds up to 9.6 Gbps!

Wi-Fi 6 isn’t just a basic speed upgrade. It leverages numerous technology advancements including 1024-QAM (where each symbol carriers 10 bits instead of 8 bits); a 4x longer OFDM symbol (that creates 4 times more sub carriers); and doubles the WiFi band to 160 MHz (doubling the channel width). All told, Wi-Fi 6 supports speeds up to 9.6 Gbps, compared with 3.5 Gbps for Wi-Fi 5. And while that’s just a theoretical maximum, the bottom line is that Wi-Fi 6 gives you a lot more speed to split up among devices.

Four Times More Capacity for More Devices

When Wi-Fi 5 was released, the average home had about five Wi-Fi devices. Today, there are multiple tablets, smartphones, gaming consoles, 4K TVs, smart thermostats and other IoT sensors and devices. Wi-Fi 6 uses 8×8 uplink/downlink, Mu-MIMO and OFDMA to deliver up to four times more capacity. That means everyone in the house can work from home, learn at home, stream at home, even host parties – without affecting speed or reliability.

Better Battery Life

Wi-Fi 6 introduces Target Wake Time, which lets routers schedule communication time with devices. That means smart home devices don’t need to keep their antennas powered on to transmit and receive signals. And that translates into less battery drain and a better smart home experience.

*DOCSIS 3.1 is a CableLabs standard for high speed Internet access that defines support for up to 10 Gbps downstream and 1 Gbps upstream. Actual cable operator network speeds will vary and will be less than the calculated maximum possible speeds. Actual upload and download speeds are affected by several factors including, but not limited to: the capacity of your cable operator’s network, the services offered by your cable operator, cable and Internet network traffic, your computer equipment etc. Final speeds will also be limited by each device and the quality of its connection to the modem or router.
