Switchable Frequency

The CODA5830 features a software switchable return path that enables operators to remotely change band split options between (5-85MHz/108-1218MHz) or (5-204MHz/258-1218MHz) at any time.  There’s no need to swap out hardware or send out a technician.  This flexible and cost-effective solution enables you to seamlessly upgrade customers to higher-tier upstream speeds to meet the increased upstream bandwidth demands of video conferencing, IoT and virtual reality applications.

 

Extended Downstream up to 1218 MHz

Future proof your network and offer even faster speeds by expanding the downstream frequency range up to 1218MHz.

 

Faster Wi-Fi 6E with Tri-Band

This CODA5830 is equipped with a third band using the 6GHz frequency which can be used for Wi-Fi backhaul. Utilizing seven (7) continuous 160MHz channels, the CODA5830 can support multiple clear channels, free from neighborhood Wi-Fi interference. It uses the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for common IoT and mobile device support.

 

Gigabit Wired Connections

The CODA5830 supports a 2.5 GigE port along with two Gigabit Ethernet ports to provide a wired connection to an HDTV, home office router and more.

 

Easy to Setup, Secure and Manage

Installation is a snap with the CODA5830. Pre-configured and pre-enabled WiFi security via WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) means that end users can quickly setup a secure wireless network without any manual configuration. You get comprehensive remote management and troubleshooting with SNMP, TR-069 and TR-369. And the CODA5830 supports the Hitron ecosystem, including MyHitron+ (a mobile application that lets end users manage their network) and HitronCloud management and analytics for service providers.

Actual cable operator network speeds will vary and will be less than the calculated maximum possible speeds. Actual upload and download speeds are affected by several factors including, but not limited to: the capacity of your cable operator’s network, the services offered by your cable operator, cable and Internet network traffic, your computer equipment etc. Final speeds will also be limited by each device and the quality of its connection to the modem or router.
